A new study finds that social distancing, as well as wearing masks, are the best ways to reduce the risk of getting COVID-19.
Canadian researchers reviewed nearly 200 studies.
They found the transmission rate was about 12 percent if people were less than three feet away from each other. That risk dropped to almost three percent if they increased that distance to at least three feet.
Wearing a mask dropped the risk from 17 percent to three percent.
However - none of the interventions offered complete protection. Other protective measures, like hand washing, are needed.
