Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin is looking for answers after a coronavirus outbreak at a nursing home.
As NewsChannel 13 first told you last week, 30 residents tested positive at the Riverside Nursing Home in Castleton.
McLaughlin is calling for more oversight from the state when it comes to inspections and giving staff PPE.
The Department of Health tells NewsChannel 13 Commissioner Howard Zucker spoke directly to the facility's administrator Monday morning to offer PPE, staffing and any support the facility may need.
The administrator assured the commissioner they had sufficient levels of all supplies and the Department of Health continues to monitor the situation.
Hear McLaughlin discuss more of his concerns and what he says should be done by watching the video of the story.
