Snowboarder with diabetes inspires kids dealing with disease

ALBANY - A professional snowboarder with Type 1 diabetes makes a stop in the Capital Region to inspire other teens dealing with the disease.

Sean Busby is from Fitz Creek, Alaska. He was diagnosed with the disease at 19 years old while training for the 2010 Olympics.

His message for the kids Wednesday at Albany Medical Center was to stay positive.

Busby is also the founder of the international non-profit Riding On Insulin. It hosts action sports camps in four countries, serving 500 children with Type 1 diabetes each year.
