St. Peter's Health Partners consolidating some staff into Michigan

Seven years after a number of hospitals in the Capital Region came together under the banner of St. Peter's Health Partners, there are more changes -  this time affecting employees.

St. Peter's says more than 110 positions are being consolidated at Trinity Health in Kentwood, Michigan. St. Peter's is part of Trinity Health.

The hospital tells NewsChannel 13 the goal is to strengthen its billing operations and provide better and simplified service.

They say every effort will be made to find other jobs for the affected staffers locally.

The change will happen in about six months.

The merger -- made seven years ago, included St. Peter's, Seton Health and Northeast Health – along with the four hospitals among them.
