Study shows increase use of marijuana during pregnancy months

A new study from Kaiser Permanente researchers show more women are using marijuana before and during their pregnancy. 

Researchers analyzed the marijuana use of thousands of pregnant women. In the year before pregnancy, marijuana use increased from nearly 7% in 2009, to over 12% in 2017.

When it comes to use during pregnancy, rates increased more than one percent. Marijuana use during pregnancy has been linked to low birth weight.
