New York has its first vaping-related death.

Gov. Cuomo says a 17-year-old from the Bronx was hospitalized in early September with a vaping-related illness. He was re-admitted to the hospital in late September and died last week.

There are more than 1,000 vaping-associated illnesses nationwide, including 110 here in New York. At least 18 people have died.

The state has banned all flavored e-cigarettes, but the ban is on hold because of a court challenge from the vaping industry.
