Zantac being pulled over contamination issue

Zantac is being pulled off the market.

The drug's manufacturer has decided to halt distribution of the antacid until a contamination issue is resolved.

As NewsChannel 13 previously reported, the FDA said some lots of ranitidine were found to contain small amounts of an NDMA, considered to be a human carcinogen.

Patients who wish the switch to another medication should talk to their doctor.
