Hearty Zucchini and Sausage Soup

Three large fresh zucchini, one large carrot, two stocks of celery, one onion, half of a bell pepper, two potatoes, two cloves of garlic, 2 pounds of Italian sausage, fresh basil, 1 cup of Tomatoes, 5 cups of chicken or vegetable broth, salt and pepper to taste.

Dice all of the vegetables into even in uniform cuts. In a soup pot add the cubed up sausage, and proceed to slowly brown the sausage. Add the onions, and garlic, and slowly sauté. Add the remaining vegetables, and continue to sauté for approximately three minutes. Add the broth, And bring to a gentle simmer. Once all of the vegetables are tender add salt and pepper, and the fresh basil. Serve with some grilled bread.
