-2 lbs Uncle Ben's Original Rice
-1 lb. Sausage (Kielbasa or similar)
-1 Green Pepper (Medium-Thick Chop)
-3 Medium-Sized Onions (Medium-Thick Chop)
-1 Can Tomato Paste
-Chicken Bouillon Seasoning (5 packets)
-1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
-2 Tsp Salt
-1 Tsp. Garlic Powder
-1/2 Tablespoon Pepper
Rinse your rice a few times to remove excess starch. Add 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of rice that you are cooking into a medium-sized pot. Add 1 tsp of salt and 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to your water and cook rice until tender.
In a frying pan add 2 tablespoons of oil and saute the sausage, green peppers and onions until browned. Stir often for 20-25 minutes.
Simultaneously add the tomato paste to a medium-sized sauce pot. Fill the empty tomato paste can 2 and a half times with water and add that to the pot. Pour in remaining vegetable oil, bouillion, salt, pepper and garlic. Mix. Simmer on medium-low temperature, stirring frequently, for 20 minutes.
Finally, pour rice into a large bowl, add contents of the frying pan and sauce mixture. Combine contents of all, mixing thoroughly.
