NewsChannel 13 salutes US Navy Fire Controller Christopher Sgambati of Mechanicville.
He served in the Pacific Theatre during the 1940s.
More recently, he was inducted into the NY State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame in 2014 and was named "Citizen of the Year" in Mechanicville in 2017.
He passed away in 2019.
