NewsChannel 13 salutes Army Air Corp Staff Sergeant Joseph Papa of Albany.
He enlisted the day after Pearl Harbor and served until 1945.
He was a devoted husband to his wife, Christine, as they traveled to many bases throughout the country.
Later, he worked for NYS Department of Taxation & Finance for 38 years.

He passed away in 2011 at age 92.
