NewsChannel 13 salutes Navy Private Patrick DuPell of Hudson Falls.
The husband and father of eight quit high school to join the Navy. He survived an ammo accident at his naval base, and was blind for six months before doctors were able to restore sight in one eye.
He passed away about 30 years ago.
