We Salute You: The Williams Family

NewsChannel 13 salutes The Williams Family of Columbia County.

Walt served in the South Pacific as a Beach Battalion member before the invasion of Iwo Jima. He owned a house framing business with his sons and was an avid golfer. He passed away in 1979.

Myrtle joined the Army as a nurse and worked at a military hospital in England. She retired from St. Peter’s Hospital and passed away in 2012.

Dennis served aboard the USS Intrepid as a Signalman on her Vietnam tour in 1968. He is a retired carpenter, and a husband, father and grandfather.
