NewsChannel 13 salutes Navy Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Wilson Winter Jr. of Troy.

He served in World War II, and once survived nine hours in shark-infested waters after being blown off the USS Princeton in the Battle for Leyte Gulf.


He also had a long career as a foreman at the Watervliet Arsenal.
