Aviation Mall Sears set to close

QUEENSBURY - The Sears in Aviation Mall will shut down this fall. The Queensbury store is being shuttered as part of the latest round of the chain's store closures.

Sears says the 95,000 square foot shop will close by the end of September.

It has been one of the mall's main anchors since it opened in July 1977.

Nationwide 33 Sears and 13 Kmart stores will be closed.

The Kmarts in Queensbury, Greenwich and Rotterdam and the Sears in Wilton Mall are not on the list.
