There's a warning for people who run on Dunkin'
The company says they learned on October 31 that an outside source gained access to some info from the "DD Perks" program. That includes customers' names, emails and "DD Perks" account numbers and QR codes.
The hackers then tried to get into other online accounts – but a security vendor was able to stop most attempts.
Dunkin' notes their internal system "did not experience a data security breach." They say hackers got access to the information through "security breaches of other companies."
Dunkin' has contacted affected customers and forced them to reset passwords. They are investigating.
