Some retailers embracing early winter with open arms

It's not just snow on the slopes that has people excited. Some retailers say snow in your front yard is good for their bottom line.

Business owners say the snow is helpful even for those who aren't a big fan of winter, because it serves as a reminder to get going on our shopping.


That can mean an increase in business for places that sell winter essentials like shovels – and also the fun items like snowmobiles.
