After filing for bankruptcy last November, the Friendly's restaurant chain has now been sold.

Amici Partners Group takes over and says it will introduce new menu items and new ice cream flavors.

There are 130 Friendly's restaurants still open, and employees are expected to be retained.

Friendly's was trying to grow its takeout and delivery business before the pandemic hit.
