Gov. Kathy Hochul was in New York City Thursday morning, and is encouraging New Yorkers to return to work in the city.
She spoke before the Association for a Better New York.
Hochul outlined her goals of rebounding from the pandemic and tackling issues like homelessness and gun violence.
She says her administration is about getting the work done, not getting the credit.
"I will govern with strength, but also compassion, and I'm ushering in a whole new era of collaboration based on the model of ABNY, which you've always done for these 50 years, bringing people together to solve problems," said Hochul.
Hochul also talked about connecting more community colleges with local businesses to meet their staffing needs.
