Hannaford recalls store brand white American cheese

A heads up from Hannaford -- if you bought white American cheese at their deli counter recently, don't eat it. They've issued a recall on it.

The supermarket chain says their Hannaford-brand white American cheese, including freshly sliced cheese, might contain metal fragments. This impacts cheese produced for Hannaford in the last 30 days, going back to Sept. 8.

Hannaford says customers should not consume the cheese. Instead, bring it back to the store for a full refund.

No illnesses or injuries have been reported.
