Christmas shoppers flood Capital Region stores with big bucks

The snow didn't stop holiday shoppers from flooding local stores. In fact, many people say it got them in the holiday spirit.

A new Siena poll out Wednesday finds one in five New Yorkers plan to spend more than $1,000 on gifts this year.

Forty percent plan to do at least half of their shopping online.

Another 68 percent say they will donate to help the needy.

Also, 31 percent plan to do some volunteer work.
