New York state will have a new minimum wage starting December 31.

Workers across upstate will be paid $11.10, a raise of 30 cents.

In Westchester County and Long Island, the minimum wage will be $12 an hour, an increase of $1 from where it is now.

Businesses in New York City with 11 employees or more will have to pay $15 per hour – a $2 increase.

The federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour.
