Spectrum begins issuing credits to customers in record settlement

Charter/Spectrum has begun issuing $62.5 million in credits to customers.

It's part of a larger record $174.2 million with the attorney general's office for not delivering promised internet speeds and providing customers with inadequate equipment.

Subscribers who have Spectrum internet and cable can get three months of HBO or six months of Showtime – if they don't already have them.

Internet only subscribers can get a month of Spectrum TV choice, a choice of 10 pay TV networks and one month of Showtime.

There are also more credits depending on the type of modem you have.

Consumers have until May 30, 2019 to select the services they want.
