Unemployment rates dropping in Capital Region

New unemployment rates are out and the local outlook is better than it was a year ago.

Looking at Albany-Schenectady-Troy, last year at this time, unemployment was at four percent. Today, it's three and a half.

In Glens Falls, it dropped from 4.8 to 4.2 percent.

Statewide, it was unchanged at 3.9 percent.

In that time, the number of private sector jobs jumped by more than 123,000.
