Good Samaritans save dogs after Thruway crash

A car rolled over and was smoking.

The passersby broke a window and got the three people inside out of the car.

Then they noticed a dog run down the side of the highway.

They chased the animal down and then spotted more dogs - including puppies in the vehicle that crashed - and got them to safety.

The people in the car and the dogs are now recovering.
