11-year-old Whitehall boy with brain cancer asks for helping hand

The family of the 11-year-old Whitehall boy who suffers from brain cancer is asking for a helping hand.
John Francis Hoague-Rivette is on hospice care and continues to struggle with pain, but his family tells NewsChannel 13 that receiving pins, patches, and challenge coins from police, military, and firefighters brightens his days.
John was named an honorary captain of the Washington County Sheriff's Office on the day before he underwent brain surgery.
On the day he was released from the hospital, he was escorted by police from around the region.
