Hudson Police look for armed and dangerous man after in 19-year-old murdered

Hudson Police are searching for Mohammed Morshed as a person of interest after a 19-year-old was shot and killed in Hudson around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Morshed is believed to be armed and dangerous with a silver handgun. Police say he left the scene in a 2013 BMW Model 525 with New York plates HWL-3050. 

Police say the victim, whose name has not yet been released, was seen getting into a taxi with a gunshot wound to the neck. They say he later died from his injuries at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Police Chief L. Edward Moore says there are several units out in the field but no arrests have been made yet.  Police are still searching the crime scene at 20 Fairview Ave. near Green Street.

Moore says police fully expect to make an arrest. He says there is no clear motive yet, but there appears to have been an argument between the victim and the shooter.
