Abandoned dog from Troy on the mend

There's good news about a dog found abandoned and malnourished in Troy last week. Troy police now say he's on the mend.

Police released new photos of the dog Monday. They say he's responding well to treatment.

The dog was found near the basketball courts at Frear Park.

A reward of $1,500 is now being offered for any info that helps find his owner. That includes $1,000 from the New York State Humane Association and $500 from Responsible Animal Care USA.

There have been a few leads, but police won't give any specifics.
