Brooklyn man charged in Amsterdam home invasion

Amsterdam police say a Brooklyn man is in the Montgomery County Jail, charged in a home invasion on Sunday.

Akeem Cordes, 33, is accused of breaking into a home on Pulaski Street around 4:30 Sunday afternoon and hitting one of the residents with a handgun. He took off when police arrived.

Officers say they spotted him the next day and after a lengthy foot chase, took him into custody.
