An Alabama lawmaker has introduced a bill that would require men to vasectomy within one month of his 50th birthday.

Representative Rolanda Hollis introduced the measure.

According to the bill, a man would be required to have a vasectomy within one month of his 50th birthday or after the birth of his third child, whichever one happens first. The man would also be required to pay for the procedure.

“This is to help neutralize the abortion ban bill,” Hollis wrote on Twitter.
