Capital District Labor Parade will kick off in Albany

Labor Day is behind us, but the celebrations will continue on Friday in Albany.    

The Capital District Labor Parade starts at 6 p.m.     


There will be food, live music, games and fireworks.     

The parade happens in the streets of Albany, starting at Academy Park.    

That means there will be multiple roads closed for the event.

The road closures begin at 5 p.m. Washington Ave will be closed between South Swan Street and Eagle Street. North Hawk Street will be closed between Washington Ave and Elk Street     

Those same areas will also have parking restrictions from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
