ALBANY – If you need a reason to get all dressed up Friday, the place to be will be the Albany Capital Center for the Albany Chefs’ Food and Wine Festival: Grand Gala Dinner.

Starting in 2010, the festival has raised more than $1 million for the city’s arts organizations.

It’s usually a three-day event packed with multiple events everyone in the Capital Region can enjoy, but it’s scaled back this year.

Those who attend the gala Friday night will be in for a five-course signature chef curated reception and dinner, featuring premium paired wines and much more.

NewsChannel 13’s Faith King will be the emcee for the night. The reception starts at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 7:30 p.m.
