The Albany Common Council is voicing its support for Albany Medical Center nurses in their fight for a contract.
The council passed a resolution on Tuesday night. Contract negotiations continue since nurses voted to join the New York State Nurses Association in April of 2018.
They want, what they're calling, a fair contract and safe staffing levels.
Albany Medical Center says "All decisions, on staffing and every other aspect of our hospital, are made to ensure we deliver the highest quality care to our patients in the safest possible environment."
