Albany cops cleared in fatal shooting

Albany police officers Elston Mackey and Derrick Ellis have been cleared by a grand jury in the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Schuyler Lake.

Police killed Lake while responding to a report of a fight and stabbing on Partridge Street last June.

They say Lake attacked his mom with a knife and didn't listen to officers who ordered him to drop it. Lake was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say Lake's uncle was also found with a stab wound.
