Albany County lawmakers vote against term limits

September 10, 2019 07:09 AM

Albany County lawmakers voted against giving themselves term limits.

The vote was 27 to 12.

The proposed legislation would have limited the elected leaders to 12 years in office.

It would have also applied to the county executive and the county comptroller.

Out-going Comptroller Mike Connors has held the position for nearly 24 years.
