The Capital Region paused Monday to remember the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Events took place across the Capital Region, including a march in Albany.

King would have been 91 years old this year. His memory and legacy has been honored every year with a national holiday since 1986.

Artwork from local schools is on display in the concourse of the Empire State Plaza. The artwork will remain on display through February.

A reception was held Monday morning at the Hart Theater followed by a complete program with music and speakers.
