Albany's fire chief is calling it a career. Chief Warren Abriel Jr. will retire on July 28.
Abriel served the city for the last 46 years. He'll be 70 next year -- the mandatory retirement age required by the New York State retirement system.
Abriel says he decided to retire earlier so he could enjoy the summer.
The fire chief says he looked forward to work each day and will miss the job immensely.
