Menands fire forces 15 people from their homes

A fire that broke out late Thursday evening in Menands has forced more than a dozen people out of their homes.

The fire, across the street from NewsChannel 13 on North Pearl Street, is believed to have started in the lobby.

According to officials, the only casualty was a house cat, several other pets were rescued.

The fire remains under investigation.
