ALBANY - Kids in Albany put on their dancing shoes to help raise money for Puerto Rico.
The event at Albany's Montessori Magnet School was appropriately called “Jamming the Lights Back On for Puerto Rico" and featured a local Latin band and a Zumba lesson.
Hurricane Maria - a category four storm - devastated Puerto Rico back in September. More than 40,000 people remain without power. Potable water and food are still scarce in certain sections of the Caribbean island.
The Montessori Magnet School community raised more than $800 in cash and supplies during the event.
