ALBANY - Movies reinvented. The marquis lights have been dark at Albany's Madison Theatre for two years now, but soon they will light up as new ownership is taking over.
"Whatever you're looking for we can probably fulfill that need," said General Manager Kris Keisling.
Keisling says the theater will now be a combination movie theater and dining experience. He describes it as a choose your own adventure with a full bar, dining lounge, and four screening rooms that seat up to 220 people.
"In theater dining - so you come buy your ticket and watch a great film and be waited on hand and foot," said Keisling.
Keisling says they're still finalizing the menu details but options will be affordable with something for everyone.
"We are definitely still trying to figure out all the players and we've kind of reached out to a lot of individuals to try to get a lot of Albany local flavor and feel to the space," said Keisling.
As construction is wrapping up, Keisling says hiring should begin soon. The projected opening date is December 19, just in time to screen the new "Star Wars."
"I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised that it was well worth the wait," said Keisling.
