Man charged with manslaughter after police conduct welfare check

ALBANY- Police in Albany are investigating how a woman died in an apartment over the weekend. One man is facing manslaughter charges. 

Officers were asked to check on the welfare of 52-year-old Paul Barbritano at 8 Brevator St. in the Campus View Apartments near the State Office Campus.    


That’s when they say they found him stabbed. Police say he did it to himself.    

Police also found the body of a 29-year-old Nicole Jennings in a bedroom in the apartment.    

Barbritano has been charged with manslaughter and arraigned in Albany City Court.
