Albany Medical Center says 45 hospital workers have tested positive for coronavirus.

They say about two-thirds got it in the community. The other third got it in the hospital setting.

In addition, they say 141 other health care workers were exposed. They are checking their temperatures twice a day and wearing a mask.

About 10,000 employees work at Albany Med.

The hospital says employees can return to work under the following conditions:

  • They must be out of work at least seven days from onset of symptoms.
  • They must be fever-free for at least 72 hours - without the aid of medication.
  • They must wear a mask for up to 14 days from the onset of symptoms after returning to work.

Employees testing positive continue to be tracked going forward.
