The two men attacked by Albany police back in March are suing the officers involved.

The First Street incident was captured on police body cam and sparked outrage in the community. NewsChannel 13 showed you that video when it was released back in April. The officers were responding to a noise complaint.

The footage shows an officer beating a man with his baton, and another pulling a man out of his home.

Now, the two alleged victims - Armando Sanchez and Mario Gorostiza, are seeking compensation for excessive use of force, false arrest and failure to intervene.

One of the officers involved - Luke Deer - is charged with assault and official misconduct. He is currently suspended with pay.
Albany Police Chief Eric Hawkins says two other officers are being investigated by the district attorney.
