Albany police investigating three shootings

ALBANY -- Police are investigating three separate shooting incidents. 

The first happened Friday around 3:15 p.m when St. Peter's contacted police about a 16-year-old boy who entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound to the leg. 


The boy told officers he was shot by an unknown person around 1 in the morning while he was near Beverly and Pennsylvania Avenue. 

On Saturday -- just a day later -- Albany Medical Center told police a man entered their emergency room with a gunshot wound to the arm. This victim, age 51, says he too was shot by an unknown person near Central Avenue and Ontario Street. 

Two hours after, Albany Memorial experienced a similar situation. a 28-year-old male said he was shot by an unknown suspect near Broadway and Lawn Avenue. 

All three men are expected to be ok. 

Police aren't sure whether the three incidents connected. They ask those with more information to contact detectives at (518)-462-8039.
