ALBANY - Protesters outside Albany Police's South Station were celebrating the guilty verdict for former police officer Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd.

The crowd erupted in cheers and embraced one another when the verdict was read.

Many of the Black Lives Matter activists tell NewsChannel 13 they were not expecting a guilty verdict.

However, the verdict doesn't change the list of grievances or demands this group has with Albany police after pepper spray was used on protesters outside South Station during a BLM protest.

Hear the protesters describe their emotions as the Chauvin verdict was read by watching the video of Dan Levy's story.
