Albany police investigating shooting

Police in Albany are investigating a shooting that happened around 7 p.m. on Monday.

They say a 27-year-old man was found in the area of Clinton Avenue and Quail Street with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was taken to Albany Medical Center and is expected to survive.    


There is no word on whether or not police have any suspects.

This latest shooting comes after three shootings over the weekend that led to five people being taken to the hospital. The shootings happened late Friday night and early Saturday morning within an hour and a half of each other.     

Police say it’s not clear if the shootings are related.
