Albany teen wanted in South Carolina murder surrenders

ALBANY, NY – A Capital Region teen wanted on murder charges in South Carolina has turned himself in.

Dashawn Muldrow, 17, turned himself into Albany Police Wednesday.

Police in Columbia, South Carolina say he and two other men broke into a home earlier this month, shooting and killing Cherelle Evans.

Muldrow was also wanted for two Albany burglaries that happened in May.

Police say he broke into two homes and stole electronics and cash.

Muldrow is now in the Albany County Jail.

He'll eventually be extradited to South Carolina.
