Man serving time for Lake George boat fatal appealing conviction

Alex West is appealing his conviction and sentence for a deadly boat crash that killed an 8-year-old girl back in 2016.

West is currently serving a five to 15-year sentence in state prison. He was driving his father's boat after drinking and using drugs, when he hit a boat, killing Charlotte McCue.

NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Post-Star report West's legal team calls his sentence harsh and excessive and also claims there were issues with the jury.
