Woman accused of high-speed crash with kids in tow

A Vermont woman is accused of speeding 100 miles an hour on the Northway, hitting a car and taking off with two young children in her vehicle.

NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Post-Star report Amber Pelerin was arrested on Wednesday.

Police say she forced several cars out of their lane and nearly off the road when she sped north.

Police caught up with her at Exit 20 and say she had 4-month-old and 7-year-old kids in the vehicle.

She's facing several charges and is in the Warren County Jail.
