Hudson Falls businessman dies in deadly Fort Edward crash

A businessman from Hudson Falls is dead after an early Monday morning crash.

Andrew Willig, 52, died in the one car crash. He's the owner of Sprague's Mermaid Pools in Fort Edward.


The company posted on its Facebook page that the store will be closed Monday, but reopen for normal hours on Tuesday. Many people are sharing their condolences.

The crash happened Monday morning on Burgoyne Avenue in Fort Edward.

The sheriff's department tells NewsChannel 13 the truck Willig was driving went off the road and hit a tree.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
